The Trainer

Safe In Your Hands training and consultancy was launched in 2017.

I am a qualified teacher and nursery nurse and began my teaching career in 1998 when I qualified from King Alfred's University.

I have worked in schools in both England and Spain, have  lectured at Bath College teaching Early Years Practitioners, have worked for Barnardo's BASE training the night time economy and now I run my own business, Safe In Your Hands.

I have specialised in safeguarding throughout my career.

Safe In Your Hands offers training and consultancy for those working with adults and children in any sector.

Background Information

I am passionate about teaching people how to keep children and adults safe and secure. I have a wealth of knowledge and experience in this area and I alsways strive to make my training informative, interesting and interactive.

My education background has given me the opportunity to work with people of all ages, of all orientations and from all walks of life. I love interacting with delegates, imparting knowledge, listening to experiences and learning from them too!

I have had a variety of work opportunities, working as a deputy manager at a nursery, a primary school teacher, a lecturer at college, a trainer for a children's charity and now the owner and founder of my own training and consultancy business.  All of these opportunites have allowed me to grow and develop as a person.

I believe that training should not just be a way to gain new skills and knowledge but it should also be a valuable opportunity to meet and interact with other practitioners; building relationships, sharing good practise and supporting each other through what can be a challenging time.
